This group is co-facilitated by two clinical social workers, Lexie, who has been leading the group since 2015 and Lesli who joined the group in 2016. Both have a special interest in grief and loss, particularly related to loss of pregnancy, from miscarriage and termination, to stillbirth and neonatal loss. We have seen first hand how the difficult decision to end a pregnancy can create an internal and external struggle for women, their partners, and close friends and family. The creation of this support group has offered women a way not only to connect with other women, but also a way to create s small community around returning to life after loss. As the facilitators, we work hard to create an open and safe place to discuss the challenges and emotions behind making this decision and continuing to live life to it’s fullest.
